Those who know me know that I’m a full-face of makeup kind of gal. I rarely stray from an extensive makeup routine of full-coverage foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, and highlighter. This all changed when Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost hydrating skin tint ($15; target.com) landed on my desk. The foundation’s claim of 24-hour moisture, hyaluronic acid-enriched formula, and the fact that the naturally-gorgeous Kerry Washington is a fan totally sold me to try out this tint.
The next morning, I skeptically skipped my high-coverage foundation and reached for the hefty bottle of Neutrogena’s skin tint. I dabbed the large-doe foot applicator on my cheeks, chin, and forehead, and blended it in with my beloved Beautyblender ($20; dermstore.com). The lightweight texture and serum-like feel instantly plumped my skin. I was left with a complexion so glow-y, even and hydrated that I forgoed using blush and highlighter. I was in awe of how fresh-faced I looked, and so was everyone on InStyle’s beauty team. A stranger even stopped me to ask what makeup I was wearing on my face. Thankfully, the initial moisturizing feel stayed all day, and the formula didn’t cake-up like most foundations do (score!). I can definitely say I’m a Neutrogena skin tint convert, and will be pushing my full-coverage foundations to the back of my drawer.
